Maropeng and the Cradle of Humankind is a world heritage site and means "returning to the place of origin". It is the place where the oldest human bones were found. Our ancestors lived here over 3 million years ago.
The Visitor centre is a brilliant exhibition about the beginning of the world, the path to humanity, development, stone tools, use of fire, fossil display and much more. It’s worth a visit! Visit home!
