Botswana is an encased country in southern Africa surrounded by South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The country gained its independence on the 30th September 1966 and is since Democratic. Its capital is Gaborone in the south east of the country. Botswana’s economy is blooming through the mining of diamonds, beef farming and the tourism.
The country is 70% mainly flat and covered by Kalahari Desert. It is famous for its Okavango Delta, which is the water source to all life. Botswana’s wildlife and National Parks are unique in their appearance and richness of African wildlife. Next to the Okavango Delta, Botswana has plenty of highlights if you want to experience an African Safari. There is the Chobe National Park on the Chobe River where you can find Elephants crossing the stream. There is also the Moremi and Savuti Wildlife resorts, and the Makgadikgadi & Nxai Pans National Parks, and also the Salt Pans where you can see migrating mammals looking for water, food and minerals.
