We specialize in self driven 4WD safaris or “tag along” in Southern Africa with an emphasis on the natural beauty and local cultures of the countries we visit.   We pride ourselves in the fact that we offset our carbon footprint for all our expeditions.

ABOUT US

Welcome to Impi Safaris, I’d like to introduce myself, Niel Jacobs and my wife, Sandra Jacobs as my partner in our intimate safari company.  I have traveled North and South America, stayed in Hawaii for 2 years, played rugby in Ireland for 2 years and traveled around the U.K and Europe since I was 16, mainly for rugby and swimming.  I started guiding in Southern Africa and I fell in love with it.  Finally after 8 years of searching the world for my passion, I found it in guiding and safari trips.  5 Years ago I met my lovely wife, Sandra, who has traveled South America, Europe, Japan, Southern Africa and the U.K.  We soon came to realize that both of us share the same kind of passion for safaris and Africa.  We have been traveling and working together ever since and we can design or customize itineraries in Southern Africa to make your wishes come true. They will all touch the best of every National Park, country, town and mountain range has to offer.  Sandra is German and takes this pride with her in all she does, from the timings and preparing of everything and ensuring all runs according to plan.  We are looking forward to showing you the best Southern Africa has to offer!!!

Niel was working tirelessly to provide my group with the ulitmate holiday. His knowledge of the countries we visited allowed us to get the maximum from the itinerary and his knowledge of the animals and birdlife we saw was frist rate. He gained my complete trust from the very beginning and I remained ever impressed at how he was able to interact at every level to ensure we all got everything we wanted from our trip!

A 4WD escapade through a beautiful and diverse rainbow nation, we visit 10 nature reserves, 6 provinces, 3 countries and 2 oceans.  We go through the heartland of Kwa-Zulu Natal to the majestic Drakensburg and spot wildlife in the Kruger National Park.  We explore Swaziland, the mountainous Kingdom of Lesotho and the amazing fauna and flora of the evergreen garden route, ending in the beautiful Cape Town and its unique peninsular.  This is truly a trip of a life time!!!
